"A WALK THROUGH THE CANYON" ~ 02/16/07" is an original oil painting by Connie Tom. This luminous work pictures a path through the canyon. The sun shining from the right side of the painting creates vibrant warm light shades against the vivid cool blues, lavenders, and green shades. The puddles of water in the pathway along with the many small rocks are highlighted by the light reflected off the canyon walls. This is what Delacroix was talking about below about colors. This scene takes us away from our busy lives and evokes feelings of love, peace, and joy, serenity, safety, and abundance and feelings of liberty and well-being.
